Le 5éme album fut: "Mother's Milk". Celui-ci eu un trés grand succés. Pour les Fans c'est un des meilleurs albums. L'album aurais-du s'appeler: "The Rockin' Freakapotamus".

"Blood Sugar Sex Magik" est surement le meilleur des albums des Red Hot Chili Peppers. Il se caractérise par une basse trés intense dans la plupart des morceaux. Cet album est notament connu pour le titre "Give it away" qui aujaurd'hui encore un de leurs plus gros tube.
